One of the main reasons I love elopements – aside from the level of intimacy they offer – is the amount of unique ceremony locations that can be chosen from… and it’s safe to say that on top of a frozen Lake Louise definitely classifies as unique!
Serena & Paul had been planning their destination wedding in Mexico for nearly a year, but after some deliberation they decided to make their marriage official a few weeks before their trip south – in their home province of Alberta. They packed Serena’s wedding dress, Paul’s suit, their wedding rings and vow books, and the marriage certificate, and drove to Lake Louise for an intimate elopement ceremony on a relatively warm and sunny April afternoon. Alongside their close friends from Calgary, Paul and Serena said their “I Do’s” on a frozen Lake Louise in front of the ever-imposing Mount Victoria mastiff.
