Lauren & Gavin – Moraine Lake Elopement Film at Sunset

There are some moments in the Rockies that feel almost unreal, and this sunset elopement at Moraine Lake was one of them. As the evening progressed and the normally jam-packed shoreline grew quiet, Moraine Lake settled into a rare stillness. Just the soft ripple of turquoise water, the golden glow slipping behind the Ten Peaks, and love remained. It was in this peaceful pocket of time that we climbed to the top of the Rockpile to say their vows.

The elopement ceremony, beautifully shared by Married by Cole, consisted of heartfelt promises, a few jokes, joyful tears, and the indescribable feeling of awe of standing in one of the most breathtaking places on earth.

Afterward, we lingered on the rocks, capturing soft, glowing portraits as the sky shifted from gold to rose to twilight blue, wrapped in a surreal feeling knowing that we (nearly) had Moraine Lake entirely to ourselves. It was the kind of evening that reminds me why elopements are so magical. They are deeply personal, and filled with moments that feel untouched by time. A sunset, a mountaintop, and two people choosing forever. Absolutely Perfect.

Photography for this elopement were beautifully captured by Naomi Jane.
