Madison & Jeff came to Canmore to celebrate their wedding at one of the Bow Valley’s top wedding venues – Canmore Cornerstone Theatre & Canmore Ranch. Currently living in Washington State, USA, the Bow Valley offered an ideal middle ground for both of their families. Plus, as avid hikers and enjoyers of the outdoors, Canmore also offered them the opportunity to enjoy time in the mountains with family, friends, and loved ones before and after their wedding day.
We started the day just south of Canmore at the Banff Mountain Gate Resort. This resort offers a number of large log cabins that look out over the Bow Valley from above. While in my experience it has not been a common location for wedding parties, it offers an unbeatable level of privacy and a very cool mountain aesthetic. The cabins are quite large, offering as many as 3 bedrooms in each. That makes it a great place for wedding parties of all sizes.
Located just blocks from where most of the short term accommodation is located in Canmore, the Ranch offers incredible views of the surrounding mountains in a peaceful, tucked away location. This is one of the Bow Valley’s most popular (and often booked) venues, and for good reason. It offers privacy, gorgeous west-facing mountain views, and ample parking.
The reception was held at Canmore’s Cornerstone Theatre, which is conveniently located right on Kananaskis Way. Inside the venue is a large theatre ballroom, completely finished from floor to ceiling with shiplap paneling. It truly is a gorgeous venue, offering a comfortable and warm feeling with rustic mountain vibes. For the evening’s entertainment, Madison & Jeff did something I have yet to see at Cornerstone Theatre. They brought in a live band, and the entertainment was truly exceptional! The dance floor was packed all night, and it truly was a perfect way to cap off their wedding day. Madison & Jeff, thank you for having me, it was truly a pleasure to be a part of your special day.
